Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra in Usher Hall’s

On Sunday 13 October the mighty Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra kicks off the 2019-20 Sunday Classics concerts with a powerful all-Russian programme.
Acclaimed young Romanian pianist Alexandra Dariescu performs Rachmaninov’s Second Piano Concerto, soundtrack to classic weepie Brief Encounter,
and charismatic Yuri Simonov conducts Tchaikovsky's turbulent Romeo and Juliet and Shostakovich’s galvanising Tenth Symphony, a savage portrait of Stalin and his terror.
